Woodward would have known when gauging interest that Riley wasn’t interested. You’re blaming him because message board posters said something and you ran with it.
Woodward would have known Riley was displeased with the decision to go to the SEC. Certainly OU was aware of this.
People are saying LSU was a smokescreen for Riley to LSU? Stop. USC handled this perfectly. They didn’t need smokescreens. Insiders tried to out scoop each other and it made a lot of people look stupid.
I hope Woodward can land a great coach but LSU hubris, lol bing in a very unappealing Baton Rouge, and following 2 goofs that won titles are a little tough to overcome. Although $12 million per year can remedy most of that.

It's still an attractive job. LSU brings in an insane level of talent. Our past 2 coaches won a national championship, and they're both functionally retarded.
