Lovefest for Harbaugh?

I don't completely get it. I realize he should be somewhat a hit commodity but the most sought after coach ever, no way. He has turned Standford around but it didnt hurt that he hit the lottery with Luck. And does anyone believe Stanford is better than Oregon or Auburn? I could easily see him taking his game to the NFL and looking like Spurrier. I think he is probably a good coach, but until he does it over a longer period, there are plenty of other coaches I would rather have.

I don't get how the hell a team would wanna make him the highest paid NFL coach, just doesn't sound right.
With that said he's a damn strong coach, just don't think he deserves that much yet.

This whole thing with JH is very puzzling to me. These NFL teams are rolling the dice on this one. I guess NFL teams are so use to wasting millions on players that dont turn out whats 20 mill or so on a coach.

How did he hit the lottery with Luck? He recruited him, that's what good coaches do. I wouldn't give him the money they are throwing at him but I would give him Les Miles money for sure.

Sure but the only two schools he really considered were Stanford and Rice

I don't get the NFL frenzy but I'd take him over any other college coach.

I don't follow recruiting, was he a big prospect? Didn't Luck cost them a game or two last year? They have a good team it's not a one man show.

No he does get the credit for Luck, but for every Luck there are 10 JJ's and JL's

I'd be willing to bet he stays at Stanford....with a new bigger contract....just my 2 cents.
He's told Michigan no, and the Dolphins....The only other gig would be 49ers. I don't see him going to Denver either.

He's the hot coach this year. Last year it was Brian Kelley. Before that it was Rich Rodriguez. A few years before that it was Urban Meyer and Nick Saban. Before that it was Kirk Ferentz. Before that it was Ty Willingham. Next year it will probably be Gus Malzhan and/or Dan Mullen and/or Brady Hoke.
There is always an upstart coach looking to move up who has a good year and every year they are the best thing since sliced bread. This is Harbaugh's year. And it doesn't hurt that he has some name recognition from being in the NFL.

I agree here guy. Im sure he's a fine coach but how did he skyrocket like this?

Pete Carroll is the 2nd or 3rd highest paid coach in the NFL. I'd want Harbaugh a hell of a lot more than him.

Harbaugh is one of the only coaches I'd be happy with if Miles left LSU.

He turns white kids into winners. Stanford has had Heisman Trophy finalists for two consecutive years in Toby Gerhart and Andrew Luck.
