If Woodward tried to do the undoable with Riley and failed....why is that a bad thing? How many coaches have made moves from one top program to another with no ties to that program or just dying to get out of the current situation they're in ? Few if any. Money isn't everything...especially when you are already making millions, successful and with a family to consider.
LSU is a top 5 program and we all know it but expectations are ridiculously high at LSU. We need to go out and get an NFL coach that wants out or a good up 'n' coming coach like everyone else does and get off that high horse.

Woodward failed, and that’s a fact. Barring some unforeseen hire, seems like we wasted weeks chasing after someone who had no real intention of signing. Woodward got played.
Point is who cares...he tried. It's like trying to hire the CEO of Google so I can be the CEO at Apple. He needs to keep swinging until he gets a satisfactory coach.
