Let us not fall into the “just hire Napier” trap

Napier might turn out to be a fine SEC coach, but to this point his biggest accomplishments are being a Nick Saban assistant and running the 2nd-3rd best Sun Belt program.
If it’s not Riley, fine, that was always a long shot. Campbell is better, Aranda is far better.
A lot of lazy people and media types who want access are going to hit the “hire Napier” button. Resist.

I watched Napier take his little sun belt team into Ames and beat Campbell.
Aranda would be good though.

Huh? Then who are the number 1 and 2 teams? Theyre currently first, they were second last year, and tied for first the year before that. He’s won 30+ games in 3 seasons, and had back to back to back #1 recruiting classes in the conference.
I don’t think Napier is the next superstar coach or anything but the people constantly insisting that he’d be a bad hire are morons, plain and simple.

App State beat them in the Sun Belt title games in 2018-19 and Coastal beat them in the regular season last year and the title game was cancelled.
