4th game into his first year after inheriting a team that won one conference game the year before.

That's a little different than getting blasted by UGA in his 5th season at LSU and the year after winning a national title.

This year's Iron Bowl was bad, but I don't consider it in the same galaxy as 21-0. I don't recall a poorer performance in a title game than that day. No coach is perfect, I understand that, but if you look at Saban vs Miles for a job like UT (building it from the ground up), Saban beats him 10 out of 10 times on paper.

OU 13 FSU 2. No offensive points for FSU
Nebraska 62 UF 24. Did you see how bad Florida looked? It was like the Steelers of the 70s v. the Saints of the 70s.

That was a serious arse whooping.

Quite an embarrassment for the conference at the time for anyone who can recall how badly Florida was raping the rest of the conference in the mid 90s.

LSU fans may still sore at Les about 21-0 but let's face it -- neither QB (Lee/JJ) was much to write about home about and Bama's defense was damn stout (as was ours) in both games. Sadly, we never have our best defense and offense in the same season. Maybe we'll get lucky and some of offensive studs will stick around for next season to give Jennings a chance to bring us back to the natty.

Miles is going to have a top 3 recruiting class at LSU this year.

He will get pay raise and stay. Leave him alone.

true, and there is no way Les would go to UT, he has his best friend as the OC here now and is locked into a good contract at a top tier school already, only job he would leave for is Michigan and he has turned them down twice...not gonna happen...even though i personally wouldnt mind seeing it happen...

although this recruiting class should be special, maybe wait one more year..
