He is going to need a rare talent like Vince Young before he wins the big one.

Mack was known for not winning the big one until Vince Young came along.

I think we can agree that with Les you get less.

If we had Vince Young at QB, we would've beat that pussy up earlier.

He had Russell last year with a lot of other great players...more talented than Texas in 2005 and still couldn't get it either year.

Uh... pretty damn close.

If you need a reference, take a look at last years NFL draft.

Pete has more talent than anybody every year and doesn't make it to NC every yr. He also plays in a weak conference.

are we really that talented on defense?

Dorsey and Tyson Jackson will be high picks but who elsw will really have an impact on the next level.

I love steltz but he cant cover well enough to play in the league other than special teams

Yeah- He went 11-2...

Two loses being to #3 Auburn, at Auburn by 4 pts. and @ #5 Florida (eventual NC) by less than 2 scores.

By all means, throw Miles under the bus...

You guys kill me...
You do understand that NO HC's win all their games all the time..don't you?

Just how long have some of you been following LSU football to be bitching, moaning, and griping about 3 consecutive 10+ win seasons.

We've won the SEC West outright and will be playing for the SEC Conference Championship next weekend...not bad!

GET REAL!

And this year we lose to UK who is currently unranked and unranked AR. The team is undisciplined (stupid penalties) and never seems to play with any urgency. Any other year, sure, this its not a bad year but when you have as much talent as we have, the schedule we have.....this is inexcusable.

but how many times do you have a legit shot at playing for it all. Coaches hate distractions such as with the Perrilloux thing earlier. Yet he could have put this distraction away. Not fair to our players which is the most important part.

I hear what you're saying....
disappointing, YES!
inexcusable, strikes me as a bit strong!

"as much talent as we have"...
Yes, we have a lot of talent, but so do our opponents....did you notice a certain #5 for Arkansas last night?

"the schedule we have"...
probably one of the toughest is the country.
Yeah, it's nice that we caught Florida and Auburn at home but you still have to play them.

Also, we (SEC fans) always brag on how tough the conference is top to bottom (which it is). UK and Arkansas are good programs with good talent. Throw in the added motivation of us having a target on our back being #1 and suddenly you get more than a typical UK and Arkansas effort!

Which is it? Is the SEC that strong or not? We can't preach how strong the conference is and then claim we got beat by a nobody when we drop one.

It happens, It sucks, but it happens...
TO ALL PROGRAMS, not just LSU!

If you look at Les Miles's tenure at LSU we have had the most talent in the country. 2005 can be excused because of Katrina and 12 straight games. 2006 can be excuse because of the schedule and 4 top 25 teams on the road. 2007 No excuse we lost to Kentucky, which in retrospect isn't that good and to Arkie at home on senior night.
