Of course I am. Lane can make as much money at OM, and win less.
Fair enough. If his reason is that, I would want him to stay while we find a coach with bigger balls.
By your own posts, it will take someone with guts to come here since

Hope we find the man with the chest to do it.

Yep, and in the NIL era, if it hant happened in 4 years he will not be here.
THats the modern reality of the NIL, Tranfer era.
Ole Miss has a lot more tolerance.

I disagree with that.
If he can win at OM, and can get the money he can get here, why would he leave?

Hold up Roger, I responded to your post that said,

So which is it? Win at OM or win Less at OM?
I contend that Lane can not win a natty at OM. He has put together the best rosters that OLE MISS can, and those rosters are rated Top 20-30 every year. He will never have the depth there.
Only once this century has a team with a roster outside the Top 10 won a national championship and that was Michigan at #14.
They will not win this year despite a great job by Lane to get them into the playoffs.
LSU rosters are consistently ranked Top10 and has 3 championships this century because of it and good coaching.
He will not win a championship at OM and if he comes here it will be because he knows it.

Both. I find it hard to believe that you are so easily confused by common sense.
Lane will have the money at OM or LSU to win, he will just have a much longer leash at OM.

No confusion at all.
If he wants to stay at OM because he wants a longer leash, then, as I said he should stay and LSU should look for someone with bigger balls.
That should be pretty common sense.

When youre signing 14 million dollar contracts, it matters.

Between LSU and Florida, it would make zero sense to come here. Florida football hasn't been worth anything for going on 20 years. He would have time there. They would probably give him 4 years to turn things around.
He knows LSU football is in a painful place right now and is moving off of a psychological cliff following 19/Burrow/Daniels and a couple of epic wins over Alabama. We want results tomorrow. All the hot yoga in the world will not stand up to the scrutiny and expectations he would have here.
Maybe he isn't a pussy, loves the challenge , and knows he is a better coach than Miles, O, and Kelly?

Hey, no argument. If Kiffin, who has said money is not his motivator, actually is motivated to be able to "win less", I have no problem with him staying at OM. We don't want that mentality here. We just got rid of someone that only cared about the money and comfort.
What you fail to see is that I completely understand everything you are saying and it is human nature to think that way, unless you are driven to be great. Then other factors other than comfort enter the equation.
I guess you think Kiffin would be stupid to come here, and that is fine.
I think there is a good chance he bolts, (with my biggest hesitation being timing because of the playoffs), because he wants to be considered great and his comments over the years allude to the fact that he knows he needs more talent to get over the hump.
