Lane leaving would be good for the sport

National pundits will hem and haw about how they can’t believe a coach would leave during a playoff run, not a team move, selfish etc etc.
But the NCAA brought this on themselves by putting signing day(s) and the portal window when they did.
These coaches have no other option than to consider leaving mid season, if the right promotion comes up.
Maybe someone high profile like Lane leaving will cause them to reevaluate this in the off season and make this make more sense.

Yep. The calendar is screwed up, but they'll just blame Lane instead of the actual problem.
