He did, if Kelly is the guy. Kelly is a way better coach than any of those guys at this point. What has Kiffin won? What has Napier won other than Sun Belt trophies? Aranda is off to a good start at Baylor but he's still working with what Rhule left.

Yep. I was a huge fan of Aranda (and still am), and he was my choice for the position. At the time, I didn't really think Kelly was a possibility. If he ends up being the hire, holy shite, what a great hire! For the life of me, I do not understand the melt here right now. Exceptional winning percentage (especially over the last few years). Also great optics to pull him from ND. Finally, I can recognize the significance of this hire without having to settle into the "at least he is better than O" angle. He is objectively a quality hire.
