Kirby was also supposedly signed and sealed for the Georgia defensive coordinator job a couple of years ago and then balked at the last second. Perhaps it's a pattern that he uses to get more money from Alabama.

I suppose you don't know shite. Perhaps you shouldn't post about things you know nothing of.

Georgia fans wanted to believe he was "signed and sealed", but it couldn't have been farther from the truth.

It wasnt signed and sealed but there was plenty of talk.

He actually, from what ive heard, is the one that recommended Grantham, which I am thankful for.

He can talk about it if he wants. It's an LSU message board.

Ellis Johnson has this job if he wants it.

Seems like this would be like erasing the Fedora years and reverting back to Bower. I'll be really surprised if USM doesn't make an offensive hire.

It says a lot to me that this is one of the last Saban guys who has been around since his time at LSU and is still riding the coat tails. All the other have taken better jobs by now. None have amounted to crap. You can only cheerlead for so long before people realize you don't actually coach anything.

Wrong on so many levels.

Dantonio is a very good coach.
Dooley - jury still out. he inherited a shite storm. he's in year 2. talk to me about him in two more years.
Fisher - finished w/ 10 wins last year. Injuries killed them this year. Recruits at a high level and plays in the ACC. That's a recipe for many more 10 win seasons.
Muschamp - just got "the" job this year. Injuries and some of Meyer's offensive recruiting hurt this year. Again, as with Dooley, come back to me in 2 years.

As for Kirby, he is waiting on "the" job. USM isn't "the" job. His whole family & his wife's family are in Georgia. He isn't going to move far away from there unless he gets a really good job (SEC, ACC). Also, he thinks if he is at Bama when Saban retires that the HC job is his. We'll see.
