Would smart be better served to take another job as a dc in order to get a good hc job. He won't get any credit for Nama defense under saban. Muschamp got job offers after proving himself at Texas and auburn. Didn't Kevin steel have a top 25 defense with saban and then it got proven that he sucked at Clemson so smart should prove himself elsewhere

He doesn't have to. FWIW, I'm not so sure he's going to be a good HC.

This. I'd be hesitant to give him a job outside of Saban's shadow.
