Our AD just crushed the hopes of the Petrino to UK camp. He made that clear during the pre-gae radio interview No Petrino to UK. Said mid major or coordinator.

He fits my goal of being a defensive guy, but I would prefer someone with HC experience.
He's from Ohio, so that's a good thing for recruiting. The family pedigree is good. I guess I could live with him.
Might also be as good as UK could do honestly. Would he return the favor and bring Mike as DC?

Seriously, of all the names mentioned, I am most excited about him. Great defenses. Has enough credibility to get a good staff. Has a brother that he can lean on for advice. He's young and intense. I think this would be a GREAT hire.

I wonder is Mike would come be his DC instead of Bob's since Mark was his DC at Arizona.

Bho, I think you are probably right. His defenses have been pretty solid, and could probably put together a good staff.

I'm all in for a defensive HC, and if it's him or one of the others mentioned, I will be happy. The only downside is recruiting relationships. He's from Ohio, but all of his coaching has been away from the midwest since he was a GA at Iowa in the late 80's.

Maybe his brother Ron? He is a LB coach at Youngstown State. Again, the family name could help him hire a top staff. I now have a name that I'm excited about.

I stop by to have a laugh from time to time, but it's horrible. Although most message boards are. This site is better for UK fans because there aren't that many and everyone is pretty realistic. Ever been to the Tiger Rant?

I have. Being a casual LSU football fan is what brought me to this board originally.

Mark Stoops would be a great selection.

Butch Jones is not the play.
