He's impeccable, I know....right?

Yes, I've read it too. My point was the contract can't extend past 2014. PERIOD. That's in the contract. It's not a roll-over option for eternity. It was the one non-idiotic part of the contract to be honest.

My point is that BelowPar is claiming they are going to work on an extension/new contract to fix the issues. Do you think Les is going to take a paycut from his guaranteed money for this? Really? Assuming he doesn't get rolled over this year and didn't last year that puts him at $11.75 Million guaranteed. Is that number going to change? No. Thus, what benefit would LSU get out of it?

3rd in SECW is a strange metric.

If we won the SECW with an 8-4 record would you be happy?

I think the answer to that is obvious.

At least we haven't heard that 6-6 in SEC play that was so prevalent the last few seasons (along with the 'can't/won't ever again beat CUM or Saban or Nutt' stuff). Now that that the SEC number has improved and he's beaten CUM, Saban, and Nutt, they've turned their attention/bitching in another direction. Next season, when CLM wins the SECW, they'll find some other thing to bitch about...keep moving those goal posts, boys!

I said Miles more than earning his $4 mill by finishing 3rd in the division was laughable

Saban makes $4,000,001. He finished 4th. ....and to be honest, I don't think he'll be winning another National Championship anytime soon with what he has lined up at QB.

So in order to make Maximus happy LSU should go undefeated or 8-0 in the SEC every year. you are comparing 3 8-0 teams. You are nothing but a joke.

Typical, you resort to personal attacks when you know you're beaten. BTW are you now saying you don't want Les fired? or is that just for protection in this thread?

Your avitar pic must mean you don't want him fired just to go out on top.

Surely comparing 8-0 SEC teams to teams coached by a guy who has never lost less than 2 games in a year is a joke.

mccarron has a better arm than mcelroy and he wasnt the one who dropped passes. plus their staff has an actual qb coach and they don't appear to play favorites which are solid ideas.

That's actually a good question.. Max, would you want Miles gone THIS season? When would you send him packing?

His memo was for the 2008 season. NASA man was out of job after the first year of this contract because he was worthless.

Nice try though. He can't unilaterally change his contract which can only be rolled over a total of twice up to 2014. That is when the contract ends and a new contract would be required.

I had it a little backwards re: Chancellor/President and you and I may be on the same page.

Chancellor O'Keefe had sole discretion to extend. He did so two times, which goes through 2014. The BOS nor President had any input and would not have had any unless O'Keefe decided not to extend. So, contract was extended through 2014 only.

Well we were one of the few to hang with both of those teams.

It was only a matter of time before we were getting a win against saban.

Miles is now 2-2 against Saban with a few plays away from a possible 4-0.

i want him to go away forever asap, no matter how that occurs. To pretend like the posi-tigers didn't twist this to act like I was arguing about firing him and not making $4 mill to finish 3rd in the west is typical of the jaydoo style.
