How do you even make it through breakfast without microwaving yourself to death?
I think someone else thought about doing a calculation.

Yes, I've read it too. My point was the contract can't extend past 2014. PERIOD. That's in the contract. It's not a roll-over option for eternity. It was the one non-idiotic part of the contract to be honest.

My point is that BelowPar is claiming they are going to work on an extension/new contract to fix the issues. Do you think Les is going to take a paycut from his guaranteed money for this? Really? Assuming he doesn't get rolled over this year and didn't last year that puts him at $11.75 Million guaranteed. Is that number going to change? No. Thus, what benefit would LSU get out of it?

You are correct.

A new contract could clear up issues and give both sides additional benefits/options, ie, not allowing a clown to unilaterally give extensions.

His memo was for the 2008 season. NASA man was out of job after the first year of this contract because he was worthless.

Nice try though. He can't unilaterally change his contract which can only be rolled over a total of twice up to 2014. That is when the contract ends and a new contract would be required.

I had it a little backwards re: Chancellor/President and you and I may be on the same page.

Chancellor O'Keefe had sole discretion to extend. He did so two times, which goes through 2014. The BOS nor President had any input and would not have had any unless O'Keefe decided not to extend. So, contract was extended through 2014 only.

The approval wouldn't have to be made by the BOS, but it would still be required to be acknowledged as they are required to put out any changes in the contracts. It's that simple.

That's not accurate. It is not a contract change. It is an addendum in memo form. I have the contract and earlier memo in front of me. It is posted on the internet, I believe by CNNSI. There are no minutes for the addendum.

unless he never got a Rollover, which I somehow doubt since you and your sources claimed he'd be owed $11+ million AFTER this season to be bought, it means he got it at least once. Somehow, this isn't in the minutes. Refusal of it also happened then according to your number, which means that also wasn't in the minutes.

There are no minutes. NASA man unilaterally extended it with a simple memo before he left, just like the simple memo he did to extend contract to 2012.

quote:

Those amendments have to go through the BOS, and yet not once has it shown up in their minutes. Any change to a coaching contract must go through them BP, so either you're full of shite or just very uninformed on how that system works.

Wrong. Only the President had to okay the 2 year extension, which was done. If the President decided to NOT rollover, then the Chancellor had to agree.

Nice job blasting someone as full of shite or uninformed, when you are clearly wrong.

Yeah right, I'll buy that he'll go 8-4 in 2011, with Russell Sheppard and Reuben Randle as Juniors, and Ridley as a Senior.

Give me a break...
