Fisher is set at Florida State

Sure he is...but LSU is an even bigger program with deeper pockets, not to mention that he has connections to LSU and Baton Rouge.

I think Fisher is pretty high on the list of possible hires that LSU would make.

Early in the season there was a lot of smoke at FSU about how Jimbo wanted out, for a variety of reasons. One being his divorce is an ugly one with a lot of dirty laundry being put out there around campus. Too, he's supposedly not thrilled with the ACC itself. And he was quoted just last wk as saying "LSU is a special place". Not saying he's coming & I am not a fan of his per se...LSU ran him out of town as an OC and the rant here was ripping him a new one regularly over his handling/lack of same of Winston's problems. But he is far from a lock to stay at FSU>

Fuente is next up at LSU. When you hear the news break just remember where you heard it first

Fedora, Mora Jr, Mullen, and Wittingham would all get looks before we got down to Fuente. They are all attainable and more established. All are also Power 5 guys.

I don't think they will pull the trigger on Miles this season if they couldn't line up a hire as good or better than these. If they did have to go lower, I honestly think Kiffin would get a look before Fuente. His recruiting is too much of a question mark. He really doesn't even recruit that well for a good American program.

Being a good coach can overcome some talent deficiencies. Some, not all, as evidenced by their late season swoon. However, that won't cut it in the SEC.
