I'm just going to keep asking this since no one in favor of the Rooney Rule seems to want to answer it:

Simple question for you: should only blacks have a special rule that requires they be interviewed?

Explain in great detail the black coaches who were able to land as head coaches at major college football programs at 33 years old after being a head coach in the NFL for a year and a half

my company had a mass layoff last year around this time and a guy i knew who was black was laid off. he filed a lawsuit and still claims that it was because he was black. he had been with the company 6 years and he was one of 400 employees nationwide that were laid off, majority of them white.
It's the mentality as the trashy bitch who sued my mom for pain and suffering after my mom bumped her car in traffic. No damage to either car.

Sorry, very rarely will I think that a 33 year old with a year and a half of NFL head coaching experience is more qualified and capable to run a major college football program than a 50 or so year old D-coordinator that has two BCS national titles on his resume.
It was widely known that Lane Kiffen was going to be brining his dad, one of the best defensive minds in the game, with him to whatever school he went to. Lane+Monte > Charlie Strong

You believe that blacks need some form of extra advantage just to get and keep a HC gig. So either
a) you think blacks are not capable of doing so on their own
or
b) that evil white people are actively trying to keep blacks from succeeding, regardless if it actually hurts said white person's own self interest.
both choices are equally ridiculous.
This guy sounds like a troll or an idiot.

Anybody who is against blacks getting head coaching positions at major programs can always make some argument as to why they shouldn't get those positions.

keep leaving off the rest of his resume to make your argument look better

You are against blacks getting head coaching positions. We know where you stand.
Governor Wallace once stood in the door at Alabama to keep a black girl from going to school there.

If it were up to you, there would be no Rooney Rule and the opportunities that coaches have since gotten wouldn't have been gotten.

Lame Kiffin - Tennessee and USC
Gene Chizik - Auburn
Mike Shula - Alabama
Mike Shula was hired at less than $1 million a year to a program that was undergoing MAJOR NCAA sanctions and he was a hometown favorite (having been a starting QB for Alabama). He also had 15 years of NFL coaching experience. Not really unqualified.
Lane Kiffin has proven to be a horrible coach but at the time he was hired by Tennessee he had a very good resume with developing talent while at USC and was a former NFL head coach. It doesn't matter that Oakland was 5-15.
Gene Chizik was a horrible hire but stemmed more from Auburn wanting to hire someone who had worked inside the program than a hatred of black people.

negative. coaches are getting opportunities to interview same as before. the difference is the SUCCESS that those coaches are having, which encourages hiring of similar coaches in a mimic happy nfl.

You haven't gotten anything in this thread right.
Are you this wrong all the time?

he was 26-63 as a college HC and got an NFL HC gig.
It not like he got it the next season. He was assistant HC in Indy for half a decade and stepped in because they wanted to keep the system together.
