If we hire him he should be no higher on the pecking order than WR coach. By the way we do need one of those. He was promoted too fast. Career reset needed and I’d rather him at the Brian Kelly halfway house then the halfway house in Tuscaloosa

So many of you are still suck in the mindset of coach O being here. If you have an offensive-minded HC like Kelly, then Brady being an OC really isn’t an issue. He wouldn’t be 100% responsible for scheme and game planning, just like he wasn’t here in 2019.

Do you really think Tommy Reece had full control of the scheme at ND as young as he was? Brady and Kelly may not mesh or Kelly may not be interested in him at all, but he’s exactly the kind of young OC that’s he’s hired in recent years to run his offense.

I don’t think Brady can run an offense yet. I know if he had a number 1 overall draft pick QB with three 1st round receivers, an nfl TE and a 1st round APB he can do great on 3rd downs and goal line as well as provide feedback to the QBs while the OC is getting his playcall sheet set up for the next series. You KNOW anything else beyond that.

Just happened to peak at Joe Brady likes on Twitter. He still likes quite a bit of LSU related content. Seems he’s kept up with them a lot over the last couple years.

How do y’all come up with this? In 2018 our offense was “meh” until Brady revamped it and after he left it went straight back to “meh”… Coincidence? No.

Exactly. It’s always the “other guy” getting credit around here. One year ago everyone on this board couldn’t wait for Ensminger to retire. Now all of the sudden he’s half the reason we had the goat offense in 2019. Give me a break. Sure, there’s a solid chance Brady wasnt ready to be an nfl OC. But we don’t know that bc he’s had arguably the worst qb/skill group combination in the league. His only offensive stud has been hurt all year. There’s not an offensive coordinator on planet earth that would have had success in Carolina this year. Brady was a fall guy, simple as that. Is he a sure fire great hire? Maybe not. But the new narrative that he was a non factor in 2019 and it was the Ensminger/Burrow show is ridiculous. I’m good if we hire him and I’m good if we don’t. But I think we could do much worse.

But was 2018 really meh? #3 all time total offense and #5 all time passing offense for LSU. Straight up meh

Yes. Because we kicked a shite ton of field goals instead being able to finish a drive with a TD. Stop being selective with your stats and look at the whole thing. E was not the brain behind 2019. Mickey Joseph was quoted JUST THE OTHER DAY saying Brady was making the calls.
