I don't see any AD surviving by following up the hire of Johnny Jones as men's basketball coach with Ed Orgeron as head football coach. Both guys were only even in the running because of ties to the school and local media pressure rather than coaching ability. If this is the best Joe Alleva can do then he needs to be gone asap. If self preservation is an instinct he possesses he better come up with something better than O.

He's not popular amongst fans so he needs to make a great hire here. No one cares about LSU basketball as long as the football team is good. It's hard to say if the criticism he gets is warranted. I've been wary of him from the start bc of the Duke lacrosse fiasco.

If he wastes a football season by not pulling trigger on Miles and then we end up with Ed Orgeron because of it he should be fired the day after the hire.
