I find that very hard to believe. I still think any Jimbo smoke if anything is there is interest on LSU's part not an actual offer he has taken.
It's more believable to me that these leaks are intentional as an attempt to slow TAMU's recruiting because they've sealed the leaks extremely well so far under Woody. You don't find that a coincidence with not a lot coming from TAMU's side?

If your issue is with 4 of those 12 losses being to "inferior" rosters, your issue is with 12 losses.

The insiders all feel very confident he won’t leave. A donor in the know has even provided some insight as to how the conversations with Woodward already went down and are done.

It would be a gargantuan disaster if Scott Woodward made the stupid mistake of hiring Jimbo Fisher with his lame arse antiquated pro-style offense for 12 million dollars a year or more. When Lane Kiffin, who is a far better coach especially on offense relative to Jimbo Fisher, could be had by LSU for about half as much.
Moreover, if Scott Woodward does make that incredibly stupid mistake, then watch A&M snatch up Lane Kiffin so fast that it will make everybody's heads spin. Then it won't be long at all before Lane Kiffin and A&M are not only beating LSU on the recruiting trail but also on the football field every year.
Meanwhile, LSU would be stuck with the dysfunctional reincarnation of Les Miles in the name of Jimbo Fisher forever.
