Jimbo w/ Garrett Riley

I’d really warm up to a Jimbo hiring if he brought somebody like Garret Riley along with him.
Riley would help install an updated offense and could be a very nice(possible) coach in waiting much like Lincoln Riley and Ryan Day were at their programs.
Garrett looks to be a star HC one day.
Jimbo probably won’t go for it, but it’s worth a shot. If he is the guy, it would be nice to bring in a young signal caller like Riley, Briles or Lebby along with him.

Does not appear Jimbo wants to modernize his offense.
The game has changed dramatically even in the last five years. There’d be nothing worse than an offensive-minded coach who needs an offensive coordinator to modernize his offense. That’s just about as bad an Xs and Os situation as Orgeron.
Les Miles had a run-heavy clunky overly-complicated pro-style offense. These days, Jimbo has a pass-heavy clunky, overly-complicated pro-style offense.

I agree with you both.
I don’t want Jimbo. Time for some new thinking. I just Woodward is striking out with Riley.
I think Jimbo is his backup plan. Whereis, I was hoping it was Kiffin.

Jimbo doesn't hire OCs. He runs the offense.

He’s saying IF Jimbo finally handed over the offense (which is highly highly unlikely) than Jimbo might be more appealing.
Because offense is the only thing holding Jimbo back from being a consistent title-competing coach.
Jimbo does everything else well, he’s just stuck in his complicated and outdated ways on offense.

Jimbo’s going to bring Briles as OC
