The point is Jimbo has always had a supremely talented roster, but loses an excessive number of games despite that advantage. If you don’t see how that is relevant to evaluating coaching ability, I can’t help you.

People have a problem with the bolded being patently false. Who besides you thinks A&M has a talent advantage over "virtually everyone?"

Texas A&M fanbase has frick you money. I see them doing quite well on the NIL front. I wouldn't underestimate them moving forward.

Miles was fired for a better performance tan that

That means you know up front you’re hiring jimbo to ultimately fire him

That’s just stupid

3 or more losses

Shouldn’t include bowl games when trying to evaluate numbers like this imo.

10-2 with a bowl loss (to a better team because of the better record/bowl placement) is better than 9-3 with a bowl win (to a lesser team in a lesser bowl).

That puts him at 6/11 seasons with two or less regular seasons losses. Seems pretty good to me considering he took over mediocre programs at FSU and A&M that took some time to get going

And why are you taking out 2021 as not a “full season”??? He went 8-1 in 9 SEC games and got a NY6 bowl win instead of playing 8 SEC games and three or four directional rent a wins. Seems to me the regular season was tougher last year than it would have been in a “full season”

I’m assuming it’s just to short change him, but that’s pretty lame imo

Well no matter what Jimbo Fisher is a solid coach. He would do very good here at LSU. I don't think most LSU fans are looking for 9-3 seasons on a regular basis. He would have to do better than 9-3 here, 10-2 11-1 12-0 and better is going to be the standard LSU is looking for.

So the question is can Jimbo produce these type of seasons with CC and NC mixed in?

I agree with others on the CCb that he needs to do what Nick did at Gumpville and bring in a spred guru to improve his offence . If he does that 85% would be happy and make the games more exciting for the fans.

He’s Les Miles with a better offense.

He has the third highest winning percentage among active coaches behind only Saban and Dabo. Miles is an unemployed buffoon.
