I think he would be a great hire for LSU. Did a great job at Vandy and doing the same at PSU. Just think what he could do with the talent he would have at LSU every year.

He is so much better at OSU its not even comparable.
They run a high powered offense and he has that program higher than any other coach in their history. He's had OSU in the national title race several times. That was unheard of previously in modernity.
In fact, most OSU fans think he's the reason Les Miles was even mildly successful there. He was the OC and took over after Miles left and completely revamped everything.
He's 104-48 there and if we wins his next game, he will have won 10 games 5/7 years.
I want Herman or Jimbo as well, but Gundy would be a very good hire. Great offensive mind, good recruiter at OSU (which is tough), and wins a lot of games in a place where its not easy to do so.
ETA:
Remove Gundy's stint there and that program has an all time losing record and he's winning 68% of his games.
They've ended the year ranked in the top 25 only 14 times in over 100 years and Gundy has delivered 6 of those (Les Miles before him delivered ZERO end of the year rankings).

Texas will get the best coach available. Too much money. Jimbo will leverage this opening and get a big raise.
