Jordy is pushing so hard to get another one of his friends the job.
Was extremely disappointed when Crain told him that. Poor Jordy. Just wants his access for spicy radio interviews.

Dumb.
LSU fans don't want a G5 coach because they haven't proven they can run with the big boys. And because of the Curley Hallman precedent.

Assuming that is the exact quote, did this Jake Crain guy all of a sudden forget about Yvette Girouard? I know this a different sport here, but still…

Have you been here the past couple days?
There are a lot people here that love Napier. It’s simply because he has some sort of association with Louisiana.

The OP was about having a mental block against the ULL coach.
That obviously doesn't apply to the people who want him.

It's true. All of the criticism I see of Napier is that he is ULL's coach.

Do you even realize how long ago that was?! Post less.

So the Napier doubters exist simply because he coaches at USL? Not even close to the truth. The knock about his ties to USL is simply because he coaches in the Sun Belt. By your take, it would mean that LSU fans actually gives a shite about USL.

So tired of stupid shite like this. It's a dumb and ignorant take.
There are 3 g5 coaches that are hot names
Fickell
Napier
Chadwell
In that order. 99% of people would rather Riley or urban but that's not happening.
From there you have Franklin and Cristobal who are both ceo type coaches and it's doubtful wither would leave. Franin had losing season last year and only won the conference once in like 8 seasons at Penn state and never made the playoff. He is mark richt of the big ten. Just good enough to not fire. Cristobal is the same in the pac 12.
From there you have kiffen and Aranda. Kiffin has not done well at big stops and fickell/Napier have done better than he did at the g5 level. He'll Napier is at harder place to win and harder conference and has done better.
Aranda had a losing season last year and has the toughest part of his schedule still left to go. Same with Mel tucker.
So we have to decide who is best out of
Tucker
Kiffen
Aranda
Fickel
Napier
Well of course fickel is #1 but can we get him.
Of the other 3 many feel Napier is the best. That so hard to understand how a coach that is 27-5 the last three years and has turned ull into a dominant program in the sunbelt may be a better coach than kiffen, aranda, tucker?
So yea most want him, but not over Riley or urban or someone of that ilk....we are just being realistic. Pretty fricking clear he is a damn good coach and program builder.

Horrible reason. If the coach is a good coach it doesn't matter where he coaches.

Yes many do. I don't get it but they do.
