Even though most of us know it’s not him anyone else hoping Michigan St. gets there fricking arse beat so we can stop hearing his name? I for one hope Michigan wins by 50.

Bless your heart, if you think the decision is being made based on the results of 1 or 2 games.

Michigan just had their longest play from scrimmage since 2007.

Good thing we have two priors years of him sucking.

You realize he can still likely lose several games this year as well, right?

It all adds up, no?

No bless your heart for not being able to understand what I said. I’m hoping Michigan wins so people on this board can throw his name away. In terms of Woodward I can promise you Tucker isn’t even Top 10 on his list.

Still wouldn't hire him regardless of what happens today

There is nothing on Mel Tucker's resume that would suggest he's qualified for this job.

This would be the equivalent of the Orgeron hire.

It may not be long compared to some around here, but I got my season tickets in 1981 and have missed 8 home games since that year.

The only argument for Tucker is based on half a season

Exactly.

People want so badly to have quick got ya moments. A little comprehension would go a long ways here. You straight up said he isn't going to be the guy and it has nothing to do with losing today. You just said you hope he loses big, so others would cool off mentioning him so much. It is irrelevant either way.

I still hope Michigan St loses out just because I have always thought it was absurd to consider him so early in his career without any real results.

So bless his heart for still defending Mel Tucker.

Maybe you misunderstood what I’m saying. I have no sauces or inside info as to who is on the list. Maybe Tucker’s not on it at all. I’m saying a couple losses, even if by 50, isn’t knocking a top candidate off of Woodward’s list.

ETA: if someone gets hot or cold on a coach based on the results of a couple games, doesn’t know much about the sport.

Pretty equivalent to Saban's resume when LSU hired him. Not saying Tucker is who I'd like but your logic is flawed

Sure but LSU is a different program now then when it hired Nick Saban. We shouldn’t have to take a risk like that. Nick Saban’s don’t just grow on trees. The chances of a guy like Mel Tucker turning into the next Nick Saban is less than 1 percent.

LSU isn't the same program as there were when they went with Saban.

Saban also had around 5 years prior with no losing seasons?

Tucker has only 1 full season (horrible record), 1 covid shortened season (horrible record), and one season where he has yet to beat a team with a winning record.

How is that comparable? Because they coached at the same school? How often do Sabans happen? LSU isn't in a position to have to take such a risk.

Many want Mich St to lose today, because if they win people will just start pumping Tucker all up again. Not because one game is the end all.

Just saw him clapping with his mouthpiece up on the sidelines. Not a good look.

6/11 62 Yards and two picks.

Seems what LSU needs

#1, LSU is in an entirely different position than it was then. It's crazy to not realize that.

#2, Did Saban win 2 games the year prior to him being hired? He did not.

#3, Was Saban a guy who had never led his team to a bowl game? He was not.

#4, Was Saban a guy who had never led his team to a .500 record? He was not.

Tucker is 7-0 this year. That's it. That's the entirety of his resume. And, he's probably staring at 3 losses in the next 5.
