Says who?

There was an article, or some sort of chatter, a while back that one of his kids doctors is in the Seattle area and that was a big part of him coaching there. Which, is also a big part of why he won't be leaving UW. Google it. There might be something out there that explains his situation better. So yeah, he's not leaving UW.

Except that some coaches really do have THE job they always wanted, and Chris Petersen has that job at Washington. He called THEM. They won a natty in the '90s and may well have the chance to play for one again this year, so it's not like he has a ceiling there that he'll grow frustrated with. That dude is absolutely not leaving. He's coaching where he always wanted to be AND having success.

True, however most big time coaches just like athletes want to have the opportunity to do it on the biggest stage against the biggest competition with the top athletes. I don't necessarily think Peterson stays there forever, he's a unbelievable coach and opportunity will continue to come his way. It's human nature for competitive people to continue to challenge themselves.
