Is this the "dead period" where recurits can't be contacted?

Dead and quiet periods only pertain to face to face contact. Coaches are allowed to contact recruits once per week and recruits can initiate contact whenever and as often as they like. Until something becomes official, the only thing the head coach at LSU or any school would do is reassure recruits. Their ethical duty is to school they are under contract to until they're not and they wouldn't say anything to hurt that school.
