I tend to think he will. He’s done horrible so far, but I think FSU recognizes the dumpster fire he inherited and will give him time.

I think so. They’ve actually gotten better this season and they don’t have the money to get rid of him anyway.

Firing a second coach after only 2 seasons would be a bad look for them. I think everybody realizes now it isn't going to be a quick fix.

At least they've put up a fight since the 0-4 start.

He's safe for at least one more year.

They need to hire Mark Stoops if/when they fire Norvell.

Thanks Jimbo for nuking the program.

Aren’t they still paying Willie Taggart?

Might just be my personal biases since Memphis is my second favorite college team and FSU my third, but I think Norvell is a good coach and could turn things around there. They played Notre Dame tough in week one and both sides of the ball have looked pretty good at times, they just need to put things together. The Jacksonville State obviously inexcusable, but the team has improved after a rough start. They also have the #1 player committed for next year (along with another 5-star), so keeping this class together is a priority—though Hunter will probably be at FSU no matter what. With the early signing period, it’s even more destabilizing to fire a coach than it used to be and they’ve been through 3 coaches since 2018. I think Norvell sticks around for at least another year and wouldn’t be surprised to see things start to turn around a bit next year.

Stoops has a cushy job at Kentucky. I wouldn’t leave for Florida State

He's going to get time. They knew it would be a long term rebuild when they fired Taggert

Agreed. Stoops should never leave Kentucky. Win 7-8 games a year and you’re a hero.

Norvell needs time. He is turning things around, and has a solid recruiting class coming in.
