Accountable for his coaching decisions. If he wants a long term contract, where he can have a few losing seasons with poor coaching decisions and still have job security, I'm not for it.

If the two seasons before that had been 11-2 and 8-5 he wouldnt have been ;)
LSU had a good program when Miles got here (03BCS Champs) I don't think the same can be said for RR.

Fact is, RR and UM were never a good fit. Never.
UM needs someone like Miles. A good guy, who plays conservative football, and who can recruit and get national attention.

That's not the point I am trying to prove. I don't like RR. I'm trying to point out that 8 wins shouldn't be acceptable when Michigan fans are in here pretending they would be happy with it.

No I get your point and agree. This is business now. These coaches want the big bucks, they play hard ball.
People often confuse emotions with football nowadays. It doesn't work that way.

So your for "Fan Participation" in coaching decisions, player personnel, etc.

He's never had a losing season at LSU. You don't want to pay him or give him a contract? Keep paying your losing Basketball coach over 1.5 million & take your chances with a new Football coach.

Jesus dude, when did I say he had a losing season?
Contract negotiation has a lot to do with foresight. We plan for the worst when we make these contracts and the worst is a losing season. And you obviously didn't read what I wrote earlier. I'm willing to give the big bucks, just not long term right now.
And how does fan involvement have anything to do with this?

Are you kidding? He has a contract and when he won the BCS title he had the largest contract of any coach and he is probably still in the top 4 to 6. He pulled off a nice season but I don't think a Cotton Bowl victory should give him a raise.
