I don't think it's a bad hire for what he brings to the table but his offensive stats at all his stops are very mediocre

A good source is the fans of programs where he's coached before.

This turned out to be like Nostradamus on steroids when predicting how Crowton would do.

No he's not but most people here know more than Miles. I think he do fine, people were just looking for that world stopping hire like a Mike Leach which was never really going to happen.

Aggies and Tulsa fans don't have bad things to say, at least what I've read so far.

he's bashed as a HEAD COACH. he won't be that here, he will be OC. his last gig as an OC went pretty well (improvement each year.)

how did the WR's do at TAMU this past year. I know one of them broke the school record for receiving yards in a season. another one became their QB. does that sound shitty? seems like he will be a good, MAYBE not great hire for LSU as the OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR. what everyone seems to be missing in this whole thing.

It is not a "bad" hire. His experience with QB's and his run at Tulsa was great.

I think the hire is just a bit underwhelming compaired to some of the other hires made in college football this year:

Texas - former Boise State offensive coordinator Bryan Harsin
Florida - former KC Offensive Coordinator Charlie Weis
