He has really good ties to Texas for sure. He's obviously from there and he also did all of his playing and early coaching career in Texas high school football. Plus, if he comes here and does well then a lot of kids will want to come here to play in that offense. Add that in with his ties out there in Texas and we might step up our offensive recruiting in that state big time.

Who cares? We hired a career position coach with an expertise in recruiting. Let him handle that and get someone who can coach an offense. Otherwise we might as well hire Tee Martin

He recruited Ehlinger and Buechele to Texas. They were the #4 and #3 dual threat QBs.

He has also coached at 4 different Texas HS so he has lots of connections to our biggest OOS recruiting ground.

He's also from Texas, GA'd at Houston and was the OC in Austin. Add to that a year in Tulsa, where he almost assuredly recruited in Texas, and his Texas recruiting network looks pretty impressive.

Yep. Almost too good to be true from a coaching AND recruiting standpoint.

I'm not getting my hopes up because getting disappointed all the time is exhausting.
