As was the case the previous two times, Miles was never in serious consideration for the UM job.
Of the 3 times the Michigan job has come open while Les has been at LSU, I think he's had the least amount of consideration from Michigan this time. That will probably change if Harbaugh says no. But Herbstreit didn't run with that info on Gameday on a hunch in 2007. And Michigan's AD didn't fly down to Baton Rouge in 2010 to have dinner with Les to see if he liked the idea of hiring Brady Hoke the next day.

He's waiting to see if Les Miles is going to bring Nick Saban back to LSU to be his defensive coordinator.

Moscona on his radio show this afternoon said his information is that the new contracts LSU offered to the assistant coaches contains a clause that if Les Miles parts way with LSU (either taking another job or getting let go down the line), then the assistant coaches' contracts would be null and void, thus saving the school buy outs of them.
Apparently the other assistants signed with this clause but Chief wants to look it over more closely (apparently after the bowl game). Moscona said Chief's son is an attorney but not sure how that plays into it or if it does.
