HE is the boss of the Defense---show him and us he's in charge and more important than the guys under him! If OC is more important than PGC, OL coaches etc, then DC is more important than LB and DL coaches. He doesn't have to SAY that! Just sitting up there as DC shows it! He gives CRay much kudos and describes the things that are most important to his Schemes then answer some questions. Instant credibility as to his accountability to LSU, the players, and the fans. Oh, and he is first when the presser is for the DL/LB guys---after O.
Let the man be shown/seen as a Leader! This needs to happen tomorrow! Otherwise you've shown him, his players, and all the fans that he's just a title---instead of our young men's leader on Defense!!!
This is basic stuff! Move your asses and show our new DC we are excited about him being at LSU!
Move it Podnamsky...mansky...nancy...(whatever)! This kind of thing should have been said to Coach O right after the hiring. It's all about LEADERSHIP, CHAIN OF COMMAND, & ONE TEAM ONE HEARTBEAT!

I certainly get that's how it's done but I believe this situation needs to be handled differently. Think Peetz would have had his own presser if Mangum hadn't been hired at the same time?
