eliminated Norm Chow of UCLA, not because he's not a great coordinator and we wouldn't love to have him, I just don't think he's a "realistic" candidate for the LSU OC job...
1. He's a West Coast guy
2. lateral move at best and he already makes awesome money

Seriously, I wouldn't wish Bollman on anyone (well, maybe Michigan
). He's that bad.

Has anyone mentioned Chuck Long?
He is currently riding out his contract in an admin position with SDSU, but will be a free agent Dec. 31.
Former NFL qb.
He was Oklahoma's OC from 2002-2005, then HC at SDSU from 2005-2008. He has also been a qb coach at Iowa.

Haven't heard his name come up, but he sounds on the surface like he would be a good pick.
how old is he?

I can't argue with that. A dark horse is danny holgorsen, but he is most likely too far outside the box for Les.

I would like Holgorsen as well ... although IMO he didn't call any of the plays at Tech from what I have read, so his only true experience calling plays is at Houston. Nonetheless, I think he'd be a great hire for LSU.
Cash, any other names left on the board that you would eliminate?

Del Miller between his age(59) and history at KSU with Snyder he probably wouldn't make a switch.
Rich Olsen is 61- too old?
Mike Schultz hasn't coached qb's in 30 years.
I'd eliminate all of them.
Looking at David Shaw a little deeper. He has an impressive resume.

eliminated all three... down to 12 now.
Of course, this will all be for not if Crowton stays, but at least we have familiarized ourself with many of the OCs in the country for future reference, lol.

OU was mad at Long for throwing 4 straight passes against a tired LSU defensive line in the BCS NCG... AFTER Kejuan Jones rushed up and down the field on the potential game tying drive.

Every fan base has been mad at their OC at one point or another.

Long's a good one. Served under some good HCs too ... Fry, Ferentz and Stoops with success everywhere except for SDSU.

No joke... I think the NCAA should institute a "term" for OCs much like the President ... you can only stay OC at one school for 4 years, then you are no longer eligible to be there anymore, unless a vote of the fans keeps you for another 4 years.

Rich Olsen was fired at Arizona State yesterday, btw.
