Insight into potential S&C coach Jake Flint

Ive seen his name mentioned a time or two about being a potential candidate for the S&C coach position here with Brian Kelly. Ive seen this video awhile back because im a wrestling fan but when searching youtube for Jake Flint I realized it was he who conducted the Sheamus workout.
If you have time to watch the video, at about the 6:45 mark they jump into the workout. Health and fitness has always interested me but this gives a glimpse into the type of Strength and conditioning program they run at Notre Dame. It seems to be very driven by technology and analytics which is always fascinating to me.
Anyway whether we get Jake as our coach or not, its a pretty cool view into working out and improving the modern athletes.

Anyone know what those rack mountable pads they were pushing 10 reps against outer the 3 BP reps?

Those are not rogue but rogue makes them. Look under rack attachments.
As far the programming, pretty much the same thing lsu has been doing since 2018. Most of the bigger programs run one of two types of programs
Westside where you are using the bigger lifts to develop speed and velocity with chains and bands aka conjugate programming. They usually use med balls for triple extension and stay away from the more complicated Olympic lifts.
Or
Olympic lifting model that is used to develop triple extension and velocity/power. Usually a variation of the hatch/moffit system in some form.
Now days both use velocity based training (vbt) devices though to measure bar speed.
Alot of programs thoygh have evolved in the last 5 years where they include some form of both along with strongman and yoga/gymnastics work for certain positions.
In the end I think its so funny people complain about moffit when he was never the problem. Problem is/was and has been the lack of personal accountability and accountability to the head coach. Under O we essentially had very little in the way of nutrition restrictions and zero nutrition accountability. Zero. That is the problem and will continue to be the problem so long as the current culture exist.
I would expect BK to straighten the culture out and make big changes on the nutrition side.
I do hope BK. Rings in his own guy. The program needs a fresh voice for sure.
Hopefully too we do something to honor Tommy like name the weight room after him. No matter your feelings towards him currently, he has been a huge part of our success the last 20 years.
