Kelvin is paying a public relations team to push his name on here and and a few other places, I wouldn't waste much time with people who are paid to have an opinion.

The Lions are 29th against the pass. I mean there needs to have been a deep dive done before taking a leap on anyone. I like the idea of getting former players involved on the staff, but not at HC or OC or DC. Let them get their feet wet coaching RBs, QBs, OL, DL, DBs, etc. This process has got to be almost immaculate.

Dillingham is the name that would worry me most, of all the names thrown out there for LSU. I think he would excel at LSU and I think the fans would love the guy. I’d be shocked if players don’t love playing for that dude.

How many times does that worked out?

I’ve been listening to Kelvin’s interviews. I do like him.

But he’s only been coaching for five years

He’s not ready to take over a $200 million operation. I don’t think.

Head coaching is way more than being a defensive coordinator

Put it this way. If didn't go to LSU, would you even be considering him?

If the only reason someone is an option is because they went here, it's not the right choice.

He may end up being great, but he has a total of a few weeks DC experience with no HC experience at all. This job is a lot and just because you can coach a defense doesn't mean you can run an entire big name program. Let him learn more before giving him the head job.

i haven't looked last week but 9 of the top 15 last week were teams being led by first time head coaches and 3 others were being led by coaches at their first P4 job.

stop acting like success as a HC at another school means success at the next. We just went through the whole process with BK who had won everywhere.

I'm not even saying Kelvin is my top choice but we have to stop with the must have HC experience because most times that doesn't work out.

again...9 of the top 15 programs last week....were led by first time HC.

only 3 of top 15 had P4 HC experience. odds are better for success with hiring coordinators than with guys with HC experience. Just saying yall fricking suck at math and statistics

Yeah, and how many of them have been doing it for 15 to 20 years in the college ranks?

For those who can’t read how many of them were coordinators coming from the NFL into head coaching positions in college?

ZERO

i would argue that now in terms of NIL, portal etc....that CFB is now more like the NFL than ever and that being a coordinator or coach pre NIL means way less than being NFL coordinator in terms of predicting success in CFB

If he didn’t go to LSU, an NFL wouldn’t dream of leaving that position for a college HC job
