Man, if this turns into yet another "let's fantasize about how Bama would react" thread, then this whole pathetic display will have come full circle

No one has to fantasize about shite. We saw all we needed to Saturday night through about Wednesday.

I know more about Alabama than you think.

But I was referring to paying 2 to 3 times more for something you already have, as being a good investment. Speaking generally, is the potential revenue going to increase to a proportionate level to justify that amount? One would think that there just isn't that much more revenue that can be generated. And to pay that much more, just to maintain the levels that have already been attained, does not make for a good investment from a financial standpoint.

Calling it laughable though might have been harsh.

You're a fricking clown like the rest. First of all, Chicken didn't start the thread. That thread was about as legitimate as your birth.

Did you read what Chicken posted?

He only added them to the OP to make his Chicken littles happy.

It means Alabama knows that Texas has been trying to get their coach. And now the bidding war begins, unless this is signed already.

Specifically Sexton and someone on behalf of UT-Austin. How fruitful those talks were remains to be seen.

At least now, Sexton/Saban knows what "the number" is - and took it to Bama (not to match, but just to let them know what the market values him at). I bet he still doesn't take more money for a buyout clause, but that's because he has less of an out, then.

Saban's not an idiot - he figures he has 10 more years, but that's 2 full jobs for him (not 1 - 2, 6 years is the longest he's held any job) - why not get the absolute top dollar the market will bear.

It is actually Mack who has messed this up by winning just enough in 2013 - if he loses this weekend, the talk will amp right back up.

It's not about football revenue. It's about out of state tuition costs.

And the revenue you stand to lose if you do not keep the investment?

Just to be clear; the Alabama defense appears to be correct and the lsu hopes and dreams appear to be incorrect (again) and the joke is on us.

Spin spin spin. I hope you sleep well tonight.
