And Freeman’s scheme. Holy. fricking. shite.

These dudes are undersized with less talent and putting it on a pretty damn good UGA team.

Even if Cinncy doesn’t come out with the W, I’m impressed. If we land this dude, we could be dangerous.

And a slow MLB that is still in the right spot.

It’s a 3-3-5 scheme but I’m just wondering if Freeman would still try that at LSU with strength of the team clearly being the 4 DL. I would think he would go more 4-2-5 given you’ve got Ojulari, Roy, Smith and Gaye on the DL.

Yes we were clearly better with a 4 man DL this year as opposed to the past 4 years. My god.

My god what? We don’t have 3-4 defensive linemen anymore. You would pull one of Ojulari, Roy, Smith or Gaye off the field and then ask them not to rush the passer and just hold the edge in run support when they are on the field? That’s wasting their talent.

Honestly feel like the loyalty to Fickell keeps Freeman at Cincy.
Here’s the question...is it worth getting rid of O to get Fickell and subsequently Freeman???

The D Line was pretty damn good by the end of the season. They created pressure, sacks and turnovers playing two true freshmen a ton in the last two games. They weren’t the issue. It was poor play at LB and Safety and lack of adjustments by Bo that killed us all year.

Loyalty goes a long way but so would a 3 year deal at $1.7 - $2 million a year which is something Cincy can’t cone close to offering. Also he’s wanting to be a head coach so what better way to build your resume’ than DC at LSU with Louisiana talent?

I love how much cincy actually blitzes. Aggressive as hell, with our talent we could be scary.

And LB and the DBs came on as well. If we can keep Cox I feel good putting him with Baskerville and Strong and now we know we are just fine in the secondary with Ward and McGlothern coming on late to go with Stingley and Ricks and then you’ve got 3 young safeties coming in who should all be great players in Sage, Davis and Langlois. This might be the most talented defense we have had in a decade.

He’s running a 3-3-5 defense. That type of scheme can seamlessly switch to a 4-2-5 if need be

The obsession over 4-2, 4-3, 3-3, 3-4 us overblown. Unless you're running a huge, 0-tech nose it's all multiple.

The scheme Freeman appears to be running takes the best talent he has on his roster as they match up with UGAs talent. Sometimes that results in lining up 4-2, sometimes 3-3, etc. They seem to be getting upfield while avoiding getting burned by big plays.
