It was a thing a few years ago when they fired Jabar Juluke (I think) because we didn’t have any old school Nola connected coaches on the staff. The coaches in Nola came together and was basically threatening to boycott LSU.
This is after the stories of Juluke being so terrible as a coach, he would literally freeze up during games and not be able to make decision for his position group

This is how you spell “past” on the West Bank.

We have no running backs in this year’s high school class. Not sure if that’s the plan? We don’t have much depth there. We missed in Nate Sheppard(Plays at Duke) from Mandeville who was the leading rusher in the country among freshman. Our running back rotations this year were awful. One guy gets hot and we don’t see him again the rest of the half/game.

People mention this as if it isnt true with the coaches. I face it every day in sales with people that are in buyers groups or have been loyal to certain salesmen over the years all over the state but the NO area is the toughest to crack when it comes to breaking through that wall.

It’s such a backwards arse way of thinking and doing business by these coaches. All these kids have smartphones, all want to be paid. The day of needing these old school gatekeeping NOLA coaches is coming to an end.

When you are Frank and in charge of the RB’s and Berry is getting 10 or less carries a game then that should tell you all you need to know.
