If we screwed up the coaching search...

it happened last year by not firing Miles. We had our pick of Herman, who reportedly almost went to South Carolina, Fuentes, and apparently Fisher.
We would have had our pick of those three. Now Texas opens up. That takes away Herman. Fuentes isn't leaving Va Tech after a year. And Fisher, whom I think is an inferior choice to Herman and Fuentes, may back out.

Texas only takes away Herman if we let them, which it appears we are more than willing to do.

Herman may go to Texas because that's where he wants to be and it doesn't mean we let him go.

Even if we get Herman last year how do you know Texas doesn't buy him out from LSU or he has a Texas clause if that's where he would like to be.
