If we get Kelly and ND gets Fickell, does that cause a nuclear meltdown on here?

Even if Kelly may be the best actual option we have and Fickell wouldn't be coming here regardless?

It would seriously raise question as to why you pay so much in buying out O, only to hire a guy on the tail end of his career.
I don't think anybody is buying that Kelly was option #1.

Y’all hired a shrimp boat captain to be your last HC and even he was able to win a championship because LSU is such a good job. If you melt over hiring Brian Kelly you’re just helpless.

If he's not coming here this year, he's not coming here.
I feel the same way about Campbell and OU. He was waiting on a few jobs to open up and that was one of them. USC wasn't. LSU wasn't.

Maybe but fickle wasn’t an option for LSU. He absolutely is for Notre dame. Obviously more about fickle than LSU.

Both coaches built undefeated teams at Cincy but for some reason the guy who also had major program success and recruiting success is the one who we would melt about out of those two

Kelly is a great Xs and Os coach. He also recruits well given Notre Dame’s academic hurdles.
Would we really be upset with grabbing Notre Dame’s all time winningest coach? The same guy that is 2-0 against us.

I'm fine with Kelly. He's probably here 5-6 years and hopefully leaves us in a good position for the next guy, which I'm not worried about.
I mean obviously I'd love Aranda more, but Woodward has too big of an ego to lower himself to even interview him.
After Riley and Aranda, it got real dicey.
