re: If we can't get Kiffin, what do you think of these other options?

I'm risk-averse by nature, so take that for what it's worth. I feel like the defensive side of the ball is in pretty good hands, so it would make sense to me to keep Baker, Raymond and whoever else on D and go get an offensive guru; I feel like that's the big draw for Kiffin. So with that said I'd be happy with either:
- Dillingham- young offensive guy; resurrected ASU and tweaked that offense to available strenghts- Skatabo last year and with Sam Leavitt this year (before he got hurt.) Getting both Dillingham and Leavitt next year could mirror what OK was able to do this year. I like that he's so young and hope/think he'd use that youth to grind here...
- Heupel at TN- checks the box of an offensive guru, plus already in the SEC. What he did this year with Joey Aguilar, who only arrived on campus this summer was really impressive, plus with what LSU is willing to commit to NIL would likely mean he'd have his choice of QBs to run his system each season. It's only one year, but he took the best available QB from the portal and had a great offense, and that looks like the model going forward.
I'll admit I may have too much faith in Baker, but I think if any coach could get our offense to average 35 points that, with Baker, is a formula to typcally get into the playoffs, and then the team just needs to get hot at the right time to compete for the Natty.

You could probably add Heupel to that list
He should have been first on the list.

This is very shortsighted. Baker won't be here much longer either way. Coordinators are temporary but your HC is a long term investment. It's more important to hire a HC who can be trusted to hire a good DC

Glenn Schumann (Kirby’s DC @ UGA). $4 million/yr with incentives and rollovers.
Not a sexy hire, but solid.
