If the Ragin' Cajuns job comes open, does O even get an interview?

Say Napier is hired at LSU or elsewhere, does the "Cajun" thing get Ed an interview in Lafayette?

I personally don't think so.

O is done as a head coach in major college football. He will take a year or 2 off and slink back into a school as a position coach and recruiting coordinator

I could see this scenario unfolding where LSU hires Napier and ULL struggles to find a decent coach with HC experience, so they hire Ed O at the last minute - but I don't think it's very likely.

I think he'd get a solid look from ULL if he had experience coordinating and specializing in one side of the ball, but the CEO model where you pay high dollar for coordinators doesn't work at a smaller program
