I don't see it happening. How long has Terry been out of coaching? 9-10 years?

yes....he left in the middle of the 1998 season...

and since he left Aubarn, he's admitted (sort of) to running a dirty program. I'm surprised he's not getting more bad press on that issue.

Actually, he walked INTO a dirty program and tried to clean it up. That was one of the reasons he fell out of favor with some Auburn bigwigs, who worked to undermine him.
One of the reasons he can't speak about it openly is his buyout and settlement from Auburn. He agreed to not air the dirty laundry in exchange for their continued settlement payments, and if he does come clean he has to pay Auburn back every penny.

I'm a little suprised too. I guess the name Bowden still holds a lot of weight with ESPN, et al.
I think Terry's gonna have to go to a program like Central Michigan or UTEP before being considered for a BCS school.

NO way. You know the circumstances on why Auburn backed out of that FSU game don't you? Auburn was coming off a terrible year, a first year coach, and the whole reason that game was scheduled is so it could be the first "father vs. son" matchup in D-1 football. All that being said, with Tator Tot gone there was no need to have Auburn play FSU for their first game in 1999. If you remember Auburn played a I-AA school to open the season and had to score a last second TD to win……..
If Terry does end up at WVU….TRUST ME….Auburn will not attempt to get out of the game...
* I am sure if USF is on the schedule anytime soon….AU will try and get out of that one…
did you know AU opens up with ULM next season? hummmm

I've been told the same exact thing before. I've always wondered if it was true though.
