If offered, why would Chip Kelly not go to Florida?

I know he's a "west coast guy", but shite, the talent pool is insane and would he really turn down a great job to wait another year or two for UCLA to open up?

Just seems like it would be a no-brainer to take the Florida job.

It's in the SEC. Chip would have to beat Kirby and Saban on yearly basis to keep his job. That is a lot of pressure.
And if his offense isn't pretty enough for Florida fans he'll be run out after three years.

His offense doesn’t work against the SEC. It’s been proven twice already.

Didn't people say that about Urban Meyer?

I think that's bullshite. He didn't have the athletes at Oregon that he'll get at UF.

Btw, he won't get them at UCLA either.

Well, good for him that he'd be surrounded by so much talent he could trip and fall and land on a 4-star RB.

If he starts winning, he won't have to exert much effort to reel in big classes.

Because the Eagles tried to make him the GM and he traded all their pro-bowl pieces to get linebackers and Oregon players.

Can't trade a 1,000-yard rusher away in CFB.

You guys DO realize Oregon was mostly 3 star recruits right? So ofcourse they arent going to push around loaded teams like Auburn and LSU. They did destroy Tennessee though.

The man took Oregon to the NCG and lost by 3 to the team that beat Bama. Thats pretty damn good.

Two whole times? Wow, that doesn't seem anecdotal at all.

This is a lie. Besides, the SEC isn’t all that great now.

That Auburn team wasn’t loaded. They had Cam Newton and Nick Fairley. How many players off of his Oregon teams were drafted? Off the top of my head I can think of 2 QB’s, 2 RB’s, 3 WR’s, 2 DB’s, 1 DE, 1 DT, 1LB, and I’m sure a few OL’s in there also. They destroyed Tenner, awesome! I believe one of those games was either tied or Tennessee was actually ahead at halftime. With Dooley coaching! Congrats to Chip Kelly. Too bad he didn’t face Vandy also, huh? But hey, you guys have sold me on Chip Kelly in the SEC. He will dominate at Florida with allllll that talent.

Youre pretty stupid if you dont understand the huge gap in talent of a team like Oregon vs LSU and Auburn.

Nick Fairley put himself on the map in that Oregon game, splitting dbl teams and wrecking Oregons backfield.

I didn’t say he can’t coach moron. I don’t think his style fits in the SEC. That’s a thing you know? The right fit or the right style? He ran an up tempo, gimmicky go for two after every touchdown type offense at Oregon. And it worked, there. Also, he doesn’t like to recruit.
