If O hires Ensminger as OC or even co-OC, we are handicapping ourselves

Orgeron cannot make his coordinator window to be only people he’s buddies with or people he’s comfortable with, because that immediately eliminates all the great coordinator candidates to choose from. IMO Kendall Briles would have been a great coordinator here, and FAU fans didn’t protest outside of the athletic building when he was brought in to coach. All the fans want is to win and for the staff to give their best sincere effort to make it happen.
I’m sorry, Ensminger supporters, but I don’t think he’s the answer. He couldn’t score on Bama with NFL weapons like Fournette at home. It would be another lazy hire.

Were the repetitive historical record breaking offensive games last season a mirage?
Why are people so dense?
If he doesn't want it, fine. But O needs to be free to make whichever hire he wants. He just needs to be held accountable for that choice. Last year, fan sentiment demanded a splash hire and when Saban/Sexton blocked Lane, the fans largely pushed Canada on O. Now, we're pushing this Yurcich fellow.
He needs the freedom to make his own choice so that he can be held accountable for his choice rather than being pressured to make a fan-appeasing choice.
He now has a built in excuse for not getting fired next year..."well, Joe, I tried to fix the offense but you nixed Briles, Freeze and Ensminger. YOU forced me into my 4th, 5th or 6th choice."
