If Les leaves...

I will feel like I got dumped by the prom queen. That is all.

Get over yourself. He is been a laughing stock to the national media for the past three years (with cause). And now, you're going to be all that upset when he leaves? Trust me, LSU will be fine. This is not LSU in 1985 or 1995 for that matter. Monetary landscape has changed. There is a reason that a coach who really did nothing at OSU, came in and was successful. You have huge money for assistant coaches and top facilities in the country. We'll be fine.

Michigan is the only place that could possibly get him from LSU, that's where he played and was an assistant coach. How can you blame the man for going home?
If that is what he wants to do, then I hope I get a chance to shake his hand, tell him thanks, and wish him and his family all the best at Michigan.

Exactly.
I'm kind of ambivalent about it. I like Les as a man, as a disciplinarian, and as a recruiter. But, as a game-day coach, he makes me cringe.
If he leaves, so be it. We can get someone who is definitely a better coach. As long as we can get a coach who can keep the Louisiana boys at LSU and sprinkle in some good Texas, Mississippi, and Florida talent, we'll be fine.

I will feel like I got dumped by a pretty good looking girl. She is attractive all right, but not in the same way as the head cheerleader, the prom queen, or they mayor's daughter with a hot body. Those girls are smoking!!!
