If it's Ensminger, the Vision is a Failure

For all of those casually saying "Ensminger is a fallback position", I don't think they are fully understanding the ramifications.
It would literally mean Alleva and/or O are no longer capable of executing their plan for securing a championship-level staff. If they can't make an elite hire, either O needs to become strategically elite overnight or the whole burden in on Aranda.
How does LSU hire elite coordinators to fulfill the promise they made when they hired O? That question should be asked again and again and again to Alleva at the press conference where he introduces Ensminger as the new permanent OC.
If all we get are platitudes ("one team, one heartbeat", "we comin'"), we need to petition to fire both Alleva and O on the spot.

Aranda is elite. We’ll have to wait until the OC is named before passing judgement

Aranda's on staff. We'd have just as much problem hiring a new DC as we are hiring a new OC.
I already stipulated that "if it's Ensminger" then the vision is a failure.
I'd go back to Aranda as HC, Raymond as his DC and see who we would get as OC then. We'd really find out what the issue is then. Is it (a) no elite coordinator will work for O even with top-5 money; (b) Alleva is incompetent and can't negotiate; or (c) both (a) and (b)?

I wish we could fast forward to December. Just get this shite over with.

They just renegotiated Aranda.

Yes, but I'd argue a re-negotiation is different than negotiating to bring an elite guy in. Aranda has been here, is comfortable and has the inside track to be the next HC.
What is Alleva's pitch to an elite OC prospect and why should we settle for Ensminger?
That would be a huge failure and a broken promise. He should be fired if that happens (along with O).

It would mean the whole rationale for hiring Ogeron was a sham. Despite have no real qualifications of note to become LSU's HC, Orgeron sold the AD on the fact that he would basically be a figure-head who recruited and oversaw the program, but ultimately hired top end and well paid coordinators to handle the actual game plan development, play calling, etc. O would be paid a (relatively) minimal salary leaving LSU with money to attract just about any coordinator in the country.
Promoting Ensmninger means Ogeron has abandoned that plan after 1 season and has switched focus back to doing whatever he thinks is necessary for HIM to remain HC vs. doing what is best for the program. That Ensminger is even a serious candidate tells you all you need to know. O's objective for the next hire is making sure he gets someone who won't expose just how little actual authority he has and really how unnecessary he is to the grand scheme.

The fact that O is pushing for Ensminger is a huge red light. It means O is looking out for his own comfort at the expense of the best interests of the team. It also reinforces the concern that he simply can't manage talented, big ego subordinates. Something a HC must do to succeed.
If he spends one more day insisting on Ensminger and not cooperating in negotiating for a truly elite OC, he needs to go.

Maybe it's so orgeron won't be successful and Aranda is head coach next year
