He needs to hire veteran defensive co-ordinator with big time SEC experience!

Neither of those things are important.

Just hire a good defensive coordinator.

If we paying head man 12-15. We can pay a DC 4-5.

The rumor was we are going to reset the market. So here we go. Lets go bag the best DC in the land.

No, his hiring a top shelf DC is paramount. This ain’t Oklahoma.

Daronte Jones called an excellent Bama game and LSU was a QB away from winning the game.

Yep, but being a veteran DC or experienced in the SEC are not important.

Dave Aranda was really neither when he came to LSU. There are great DCs that are young and haven't coached in the SEC.

Honestly, Grinch was a great hire at the time. I wonder what happened over in Norman to him. He's still getting looked at as a possible head coach candidate.

DEFENSE DEFENSE DEFENSE will be the key
His talent base will be much better though to recruit for defense
I like how he's had explosive offenses with multiple QB's even some with different styles
Mayfield
Murray
Hurts
Rattler (even he was playing lights out end of last year)
Williams

I don't know why you are getting downvoted. Daronte Jones has two HUGE advantages going for him. Continuity and massive improvement with a young team throughout a shite show of a season with no help from the other side of the ball.

In no particular order; Elko, Odom, Pruitt and Schumann.

I think any of those 4 would be home runs and all have experience coaching in the SEC.
