unless their is someone we are missing?
My first call would be to Tommy Tuberville, supposed he has wanted to job in the past. You gotta believe he would kill to get back in the SEC and go head up with Bama and Auburn. Sure I would definitely contact Gary Patterson, but no one has been able to pry him away from TCU yet and hasn't even showed any interests in the past that I can recall. Its atleast worth a call to see if he would be interested. If it got to that I would do like what was done with Saban. Back then if you will recall. I think it went something like Joe Dean wanted to offer Nick 900,000 and Mark Emmert told he no, give him our best offer and make him say no. I would do something similar with Patterson. IMO with his track record at TCU he is as close to a can't miss candidate as is out there. After these 2 who out there is a real proven coach that would fit here? Its pretty damn thin IMO.
Art Briles at Baylor?
Gary Pinkel at Missouri?
Skip Holtz at South Florida? ( I would maybe contact him as well, A better career than I thought )
Jack Del Rio
Jon Gruden Contact both just for the hell of it, you never know.
