let me get this straight....USC wants delrio...so if jacksonville fires him(which he obviously wants) he gets 15 mil. plus a new job. what a country

its probably $15 mill minus the new contract like in most cases

usually they're written in terms of tiers, like x we owe you minus your salary if you take a job in this league
i'm wondering if the jags did this
i get the feeling they limited the salary adjustments to the NFL, or else they wouldn't be on the hook for that much. i'm sure USC is offering at least $3M/year, prolly closer to $4M. that would offset a ton of the $15M

If for some reason the Jags brass was dumb enough to limit that clause to only the NFL then they should be sold and just start over in a new city because they are being run by imbecile’s.
